Safeway Holdings (Alberta) Ltd. was established in 1974 and has a portfolio that covers over 1.6 million square feet of office, industrial, residential, and retail space in Calgary, Edmonton, Chestermere, and Fort McMurray which is managed in-house and continues to attract first-rate tenants.

We are excited to announce this new position – Property Manager in Fort McMurray, to assist in managing about 200 residential units and commercial spaces. Reporting to the President, the Property Manager is mainly responsible for the daily operations of the properties in Fort McMurray and assists the President as required.

Reports to:President

Responsibilities:

· Tenant relations for Fort McMurray portfolio of commercial, retail, and office space

· Tenant relations for Fort McMurray portfolio of apartments and condos

· Work with Assistant Property Manager and operation team closely for tenant’s request

· Work with marketing department for tenant retention

· Work with leasing and operations departments as needed

· Liaise with contractors, service providers, and tenants

· Inspect property conditions and coordinate maintenance activities

· Investigate and help to resolve complaints, disturbances and violations

· Collect monthly fees

· Sit as a board member on several Condo Corp boards

· Budgeting and Analysis

· Regular inspections of owned buildings / leased space (move-ins / move-outs)

· Consider development sites and assist in developments as required

· Work with municipalities

· Negotiate contracts

· Involvement in insurance claims and legal matters

· Generally, assist the President as required, including administration

· Other ad hoc duties as business needs change

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of property management experience in residential and commercial properties
  • Excellent work ethic, detailed, self motivated and self starter
  • Must be resourceful, flexible, adaptable, and communicate well
  • Computer literacy, including intermediate level MS Office skills
  • Experience in Yardi software an asset
  • A valid operator’s license & reliable vehicle

Remuneration
