Financial Planning Investment Assistant

The Role

Our ideal candidate is someone who is energetic, motivated, and has excellent investment administration and customer service skills. In this role you must be team focused and versatile as you will be a part of our administration team supporting our advisors on a daily basis. You must possess a minimum of 2 years of related experience and be proficient in Microsoft Office.

Experience in the Financial Planning industry and being a Licensed (MFDA) assistant is considered a definite asset.

Overview of Common tasks

  • Ensure that all transactions are carried out in compliance with our regulatory bodies at all times.
  • Process all trades within 24 hours of receipt as per MFDA compliance requirements
  • Follow up with all trades with industry standard times of Trade + 1, +3 or longer depending on required transactions
  • Annually update all RRIF account AWD information
  • Monthly KYC Deficiency reports
  • Review RRIF RRSP Accounts
  • Client servicing answering phone calls and emails
  • Preparing meeting files for Advisor
  • Scheduling appointments and setting up web meetings
  • Maintaining all client information updates – closed files, address changes etc. on CRM
  • Generate follow up tasks within the CRM
  • Maintaining client’s hard copy and e-file of statements and client documents and notifications
  • All filing hardcopy & electronic
  • All follow up and ongoing client account maintenance
  • Provide support to new or associate advisors as needed
  • Assist with running retirement projections with various financial planning software
  • Provide general tech support, trouble shooting and training on applications used in the role.
  • Administrative task as required and not limited to the task above.

Salary ranging from $45,000 – $55,000 (based on experience)
